Jobserve's ad-sharing application for job boards, JobG8 , has now reached 50 members in Australia.

JobG8 allows job boards to negotiate to transfer posted ads between themselves, in order to maximise the number of applications generated.

The site's chief executive Robbie Cowling said as well as Jobserve, the network included a range of different users such as JobsJobsJobs, LinkMe, Byron, CareerJet, ExpatEngineer group and JobSpeed.

Several more sites were due to go live shortly including JOBX, Recruit Me Now, Capital Jobs and JustSAJobs.

Meanwhile, in other news from Jobserve, the company has promoted one of its UK staffers, Darren Wright, to head up its Sydney office.

Wright, who until recently was manager of direct sales in the Jobserve's UK head office, will replace existing Sydney manager Kathryn O'Brien, who has transferred to Ottawa to run Jobserve's Canadian business.

Wright said he had worked in all of Jobserve's other main markets in the US, UK and Canada, and believed Australia still had "huge growth potential".

Specialist recruitment industry job board Recruit Me Now plans to launch a NZ version of the website. Managing director Michael Dimopoulos said the NZ site was expected to go live in March.

RecruitMeNow chief executive Michael Dimopoulos says the new specialist recruitment industry jobs board has attracted "fantastic" support from the industry and corporate employers, with more than 1400 recruitment industry, corporate recruitment and HR jobs listed on the site.

Dimopoulos said it was "early days" for candidate traffic, but the site would have some statistics soon.

Recruitment training company Recruitment Academy is set to launch an online portal and forum for recruitment consultants as part of its growing online presence.

Recruitment Academy managing director Michael Dimopoulos claimed the new RecTalk site would be "the Facebook of the recruitment industry".

"We are very excited and have been approached by some very significant and well-established organisations that will not only assist RecTalk but accelerate and dominate this space rapidly," Dimopoulos said.

Ross Human Directions founder Julia Ross has taken on the role of "industry ambassador" for newly launched job site for the recruitment industry, RecruitMeNow.

Ross will respond to questions about working in recruitment from visitors to the site.

Training company Recruitment Academy has partnered with a UK counterpart, Recruitment Juice, to offer a new range of web-based training packages for its clients.
